Concours d’elegance

Hey loves,

I know it’s not Thursday, but I had to share with you my first experience at Concours d’elegance! Now let’s appreciate the fact that mother nature who has been on a roll across the world, calmed her titties this time around and the weather was absolutely breathtaking for the event!

Bad habit I must say,  but being a first timer I opted to be fashionably late just for traffic to let me down completely. After being stuck in traffic for close to an hour despite living 10mins away I finally got to the venue. Darlings, those cars were everything my old soul ever yearned for. I could spend all day describing this day but I figured let me pick my top 3 favorite cars. (I’m not a bike girl so forgive me for not reviewing those!)

Car number 3 was the New Ford Mustang! The minute I saw it, I was lost in my own fantasy world humming Katy Perry’s  song ‘The one who got away‘ picturing myself cruising in it. The color wasn’t my favorite hence the score, nevertheless absolutely loved it!!

Car number two, this one left me in awe. It was the 1951 Rolls Royce! Not only was it in impeccable condition, but the theme they chose to present the car in with no doubt instantly won my heart! Not forgetting the two ladies who owned the car dressed as pirates to match their theme. Deep down I had my fist up and chanting, ‘Power to the women!’ and I couldn’t resist a photo op with them.

On to my favorite, if you didn’t grow up fantasizing riding in scooby doo’s mystery machine, you would never understand the fascination that came with seeing one that looked similar.  Although the mystery machine was never a VW as I always assumed this 1974 VW camper van without a doubt topped my list. Loved it!

I had a few cars that didn’t make my list, like the 1991 Mitsuoka Le- Seyda limited edition by Ugandan Kaooza Wazzir and the Cadillac Escalade wheels but I had to share the pictures because guys I was impressed.

No way am I signing out without mentioning fashion. This year’s theme being ‘beauty and the beasts’ I chose to wear this gorgeous brocade fabric dress from my favorite store Malia Baroque and accessorize it with fascinator. I chose a pair of classic flats for comfort and I’m in love with the combo! What did you wear? and what were your favorite cars?
