SUITS

Hey loves, I’ve always been a lover of a well-tailored suit but never lucky enough to get the right one. Either the pants were too long, the skirt too tiny or the blazer slightly tight hence I ‘d always choose to mix and match just to acquire that perfect suited up look. Now that my current obsession is colored pants, I had to transform one of them into an official look by pairing it with this blazer I absolutely adore and bought ten years ago from my favorite store ‘Mango’. I Tried making the outfit slightly fun by pairing it with monochrome shoes however you can always opt for a simple black heel. Quick question though, would you wear this to the board meeting or are you worried you will not be taken seriously? SHORTIE

hey there loves, I’ve always been a lover of short outfits but I always noticed I’d get a side eye every now and then when I’d wear shorts to a social gathering or even a night out. I would always feel instantly judged. More like ‘what is this child doing here?’ In fact, anytime I chose to wear a short to the club, I knew they would definitely ask for my ID to check if I’m of age, or ask me to pay for entrance just to see if I can actually afford to be at that club. I, therefore, decided to go back to the drawing board because this shortie in shorts was never going to prosper nor was she letting go of her shorts. That is when I decided to do what I love doing best, add a touch of class with a blazer. In this post, I paired my favourite shorts which I got on sale in Mzanzi for 2dollars, with a tank top and a boyfriend blazer. I spiced it up slightly with animal print flats and you should have seen the respect I got at the club when I don this. They even offered their VIP […]

SUNNY

Hey loves, It has been quite sunny in Mombasa and as much as I’m struggling with a terrible heat rash, I can’t help but be excited that sunny for me means wearing bright colors!! Being that my new fashion high are brightly colored pants, you certainly would imagine my excitement when I found these Zara pants in different colors at Platform and on SALE!!!! It was An instant impulse purchase that was extremely worth it. I paired it with an off-shoulder white top and my all time favorite pair of shoes. I chose this particular pair because somewhere in my imaginary fashion design company I feel like people really need to appreciate how gorgeous yellow and blue look when well-blended. I sure do hope my outfit pick will be a great start towards convincing you. DETAILS: PANTS: (ZARA) – PLATFORM  TOP: MR. PRICE SHOES: BACKYARD SHOEZ BAG: ALDO  Elizabeth MaramiMore Posts – Website

Houndstooth

Hey loves, I know it’s been a while. A lot has been going on in my life, I’ve been trying hard to find my balance but somehow blogging had to be shelved and as much as I have great news, I’d leave that for penning my story series. For now, let’s talk about my undying love for houndstooth and how cheap this gorgeous dress was. Every time I traveled and saw a gorgeous houndstooth outfit, the price tag would always find me lying to the salesperson that I was just looking around yet I knew I couldn’t afford it even on a 50% sale! Now imagine my excitement when I saw this gem at a thrift shop near the bus station being sold at 60bob!! Yup, just 0.6dollars. I didn’t even think twice. It’s the perfect dress for an office cocktail when paired with heels like I did or a dress down Saturday when paired with flat shoes. I paired this with these gorgeous metallic shoes that I’ve recently been overwearing and had an opportunity to shoot at the tranquil Bidwood suites.
